To add what everyone else has posted, when you animate in Presenter you're actually animating in Powerpoint. Presenter is basically just a packager for your course.
Is there an update on this? Almost 8 months since last reply....please tell me this is now working in Storyline. We have too many customized faculty PowerPoints to switch over until this feature is readied. It would mean re-working hundreds of them...not an option for a large university like us.
I am also wondering how to edit shape paths in Storyline. I watched a great tutorial on how to create a curved page corner but I don't have the edit paths option for a shape.
There are not currently motion paths in Storyline, but there are a few ways in which you could simulate a shape moving. There are also some community generated methods, such as the one here from Bruce.
I don't have any further information to share on when motion paths will be included, but as you'll see in this support article copied below, it is something our team is aware of:
Articulate Storyline doesn't currently support motion paths. However, we’re building very powerful animation capabilities for a future release. Be sure to subscribe to the Articulate Word of Mouth Blog to receive notifications when new updates and features are released.
Note: When you import a PowerPoint presentation with motion paths into Storyline, the motion paths will be removed during the import process.
In the meantime, you may be able to simulate motion paths, using either of the following options:
Create several duplicate copies of the object that you want to move along a path, and place them at various points along that path. Then use animations to fade each object in and out, one after the other, to create the impression of movement.
If you have PowerPoint 2010 or later, create your motion path in PowerPoint the way you want it to appear. Then save the presentation as a video, and insert the resulting video into Storyline. (In PowerPoint 2010, go toFile > Save & Send > Create a Video. In PowerPoint 2013, go to File > Export > Create a Video.)

There are no motion paths in Storyline.
there are workarounds such as publishing in presentnter and inserting the swf, saving as a video from ppt or using lots of images on the timeline
I am sure it will be in an update at some point
Will really miss the Motion Paths feature in Stoyline... :-(
Thanks for the link Gerry. I just did.
Agree! More animation options should be available in Storyline.....
Being worked on - being worked on

@Melissa - sorry, nothing yet in Storyline.
Studio '13 is now shipping, so that might be an option as you have said that PowerPoint is your base data format.
You can try it free at http://www.articulate.com/products/studio.php

any news on whether or when motion paths will become available in Storyline?
Hi! Don't recall hearing anything public. Anyone wishing this should enter a feature request on this. The more voices, the better.
If I was a betting man, I'd personally expect Articulate to do something if a lot of people wanted this.
