Mouse hover trigger takes me back to base slide

I have several icons on my slide in the top right corner. To mimic alt-tag labels, I created a layer for each icon so that when the user hovers over the icon, they see a text description of the icon. It works fine. The problem occurs when I add other layers for interactivity to the slide. I created a slide similar to the Engage process diagram - a base slide with intro text, and then a layer for each step. The interactions work fine unless you move your mouse over one of the icons - doing this displays the alt-tag text, but also sends me back to the base slide, which I don't want. There seems to be some hidden action associated with the mouseover trigger that returns me to the base slide. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Lisa

Thanks!
Have you tried just hiding the alt-tags and the showing them with the triggers on the base layer instead of trying to use layers? I know I had some issues to when I was trying to create my own menus.
I am experiencing the same problem and would appreciate any feedback on your submitted case, or would be happy to submit a seperate case if need be.
One of our multimedia developers fixed this for me by using states on the master slides, rather than actual hover triggers on the slide itself. I haven't had time to figure out what he did though.
