I have published a course to our LMS. In this course are embedded youtube videos. They play fine in Firefox but just display a black screen when opened in IE9.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? I can view the videos fine in IE9 when I go direct to youtube.
Hi Alex! There could be a few reasons why this would happen. From local security restrictions to your Flash Player. If you would like a reference tool, this is a great article.
Thanks for your reply. I understand about local restrictions and flash player etc, however I'm not sure why I can view the same video direct in youtube, but not as an embed within a published storyline course.
I am also having the same problem. Videos load fine in Chrome or Firefox but don't do anything in IE9. Is there a browser setting that needs to be changed?
As Leslie previously shared, there are some known reasons here why videos may not play in your published content. Where are you hosting the published output? You may want to check what version of Flash IE9 is using as Storyline requires Flash Player 10 or later as it can be different from browser to browser.
