I have a project drawn from several groups. I now have two sets of masters and have removed all but two of the foreign master layouts, each with one slide associated with it.
How do I quickly identify which slides are associated with which master?
Once reassigned to the original master slide and layouts, I will delete the undesired duplicate master.
If you know which master(s) you want to delete, the easiest way I have found to identify which slides need to have their layout changed is to add a shape (a coloured rectangle or even a smiley face) to the slide master.
This shape will then come through to the affected slides, which you will be able to spot when looking at your project using the Story View.

Thanks! I changed the background color of the offending slide master and found it right away.
