I just changed a master slide to add a layer and show it with a trigger. When I choose the layout for a new slide, the new layer is not showing. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry for misunderstanding your original question, Diane.
I'm sure you noticed that although the functionality of the second layer works, it isn't displayed in the Slide Layers pane. This is part of the beauty of using the slide master.
If you want to edit layers on your Slide Master, you'll need to switch to Slide Master View to do so.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
So, what do I do if I want to add content to the layer that will be different on each slide where it's used? For example, I did as you did...created a layer with a button. Now, I want to add text to that layer but cannot because I cannot see it. I also need to add a trigger that goes to another slide and this will be different each time I use it.

Good Afternoon, Diane.

Thanks Justin...I just tried to add a slide with your Layer Test Master and do not see a layer in the Slide Layers panel. Am I missing something?
