Normalizing volume

I need to normalize the volume of my audio files (mp3). It's not ideal, but by necessity they were recorded over several days and there's a great variance in volume.
- I don't think Storyline can do this, correct?
- Is there a good third party app that can? Audacity wasn't working for me because it doesn't compare the volume across multiple files. Or perhaps that was just user error.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use Adobe Audition. It has a "normalize" function along with a lot of other helpful bells and whistles. I use the normalize to a specific decibel, but you can also choose a percentage of the signal.
