Optimum Hardware choices

I've been developing some courses using Articulate Presenter using a DELL laptop with 1 Gig of RAM and a decent processor. Unfortunately, the final product quality is less than optimum. The voices, using a voice engine, and the Flash video are grainy. Anybody out there able to give some advice on a good development platform?
I'm using avatar video clips developed using iClone. Good stuff until I pair it with Articulate.

Hi James,
I just wanted to welcome you to the E-Learning Heroes community! I'll let them weigh in on what they've found the most success with in terms of a development platform, but if you need anything else please let us know!
Hi James.
You might want to take a look at this thread regarding text to speech. You may want to make sure you are locking your player to its optimal size to avoid degradation of quality in your Flash files.
Regarding your computer's specs, that probably is not impacting the quality of your presentation, though depending on what version of Windows you are running you may want to consider upgrading just for speed/performance reasons. Most newer computers don't come with less than 4 GB of RAM nowadays and run newer, faster Intel chips.
