Ordering of States

Hi all,
I was wondering if there is a way to create an order for stages. Currently, I have my project set up to where when the user presses a button, the text bubble goes from state 1 to state 2 and on. But say I want to insert another state in between state 1 & 2, is there a easy way to do this? Currently I have to make copies of all the other states because I have to erase them and copy them over, or create a state called state 1.2 or whatever, and pretty soon I have a large jumble of states that are all over the place and not very orderly.

There may be a way of doing this, but honestly, I think the best thing you can do is properly plan ahead of time. This will help avoid those missed states, and at the very least you will have fewer additions/modifications. I don't mean to sound condescending or anything...I've had similar things like this happen to me and planning it out better is what helped me out.
Yeah in a perfect world, we would be able to plan everything... But especially in our project, there are things that are out of our hands, like changes in laws that will inevitably force us to require changes and no amount of planning will help us in that regard...
I totally understand. That's a challenge that we're faced with quite regularly where I'm at...changing requirements, UI updates, etc. I hope someone has an answer that will help you with those states. I fiddled with it and couldn't come up with a way to move them around.
Why would you need to change the states order. I understand for it to be tidy, but the order of states does not affect their function as you change states using triggers
