Pasting Conditions groups conditions?
Jan 22, 2020
I just tried out the new option to paste conditions across several triggers. I really like the idea, but unfortunately there is some strange behaviour I wouldn't have expected.
After I have pasted the conditions, if I try to change the condition on one trigger, it changes it for all the other triggers as well. For example, I have 12 ovals. I had a trigger for each oval to "Change the state of Oval # to Normal when timeline reaches Cue point 1". Then I added a condition to Oval 1 that says ". . . if the state of Oval 1 = Hidden". I copied that and pasted the condition across the 11 triggers for the other ovals. However, I want to change each condition to match the related oval (I don't want all the ovals to refer to oval 1's state).
When I edit the condition, it changes the conditions for all 11 ovals. Is this how it is supposed to behave? Is there any way to "ungroup" or "unassociate" these pasted conditions?
Thanks!

Hi Rena,
Sorry to hear you're coming across some issues with pasting conditions!
I'd love to take a look at your file to see if I can replicate it. Are you comfortable with sharing your .story file for testing? You can share it publicly here, or privately with me here. I'll delete it when we nail down what's going on!
I have experienced something similar pre-360. Sometimes it was fixed by closing and opening again. Other times, I think it indicated a corrupted file, slide, or triggers.
Unfortunately, I deleted the triggers in question and rebuilt them from scratch to solve the problem. However, I am unable to replicate the issue in a test project, so something must have gone strange.
