Hi, Erin -- Thanks for providing your file. We'll check it out and see what we come up with for you as soon as possible. In the meantime, there are a few troubleshooting steps that you could run through to see if they help.
Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here.
It's also helpful to make sure that you are testing your published output in the intended environment. I will be in touch shortly.
Hello again, Erin -- A colleague and I put our heads together and came up with the following: it looks like you were following the steps outlined here on How to Customize the Invalid Answer Message, but we believe you might need to make a few adjustments. In your conditions, you have "Normal" on the bottom one, and that needs to be changed to "Selected", as seen in the screenshot here:
