I have a slide with several layers and have set the player next button trigger to go to the next layer in the slide for each layer. It works for the first layer but not for any layer after the first. Can anyone help?
Thanks Walt! I'll take a closer look later today, and let you know if any clarification questions. Thankfully, only 3 variables required. Upon quick pass, is it possible to restrict percentage input so that the three variables can not exceed 100%?
When the keyboard pops up on the tablet to enter your text, the keyboard doesn’t disappear after you hit enter (you have to tap outside of the screen for it to collapse) which isn’t super intuitive. Once you do close down the keyboard on the tablet – the screen has been zoomed in automatically and it was difficult to get back to a viewable size. Need help.
Keyboard issue remains the same with making the whole screen smaller and not. After typing, it says “please enter text to proceed further”, but text has already been entered.
When you type the text using the tablet keyboard and press the Enter key on the keyboard, what happens? Does the keyboard go away or remain visible?
The issue you're seeing sounds similar to one we are investigating in Storyline 360. With your permission, we can take a look at your project file to verify it's the same issue.
We'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting. If that works for you, you can upload your file privately to our support team here. We'll give it a test and let you know what we find!
When I type the text using the tablet or mobile keyboard in landscape mode the screen became small and on pressing the custom Enter button of the screen, the tablet or mobile keyboard remains visible. Please check into the attached file. This issue exists with all type text entry question.
We are working through an issue where the tablet keyboard remains visible on screen, unless you tap the "Hide Keyboard" button like I did in that screen recording. The behavior I saw in your file is related to that bug we are investigating.
We'll keep you posted on our progress with that bug!
I am having the same problem, but I see this post is quite old, and maybe there is a different resolution now with SL 360. My triggers on the forward button on each layer specify exactly which layer I want to go to. But, it still doesn't work. Is the variable resolution still the only way around this?
Hi, Manoj – I want to let you know we're aware of the issue and are actively working on a solution that will allow your learners to use tablets without running into problems with the virtual keyboard. I wish we had a solution time frame to give, but as you may have guessed, this is no small fix. The second there's more information to share, you'll be the first to know.
Hello, Becky – Thanks for the update! I'm glad you found a solution that works for you.

The inputs are raw numbers. No matter what, the total of the three is 100%.
The pie shows each as a percentage of the total.
I changed my original opinion. I think it can be done with more than 3 variables, not that that affects your project.

Hi Manoj, thank you for sharing your file!
I tested it in Landscape on an iPad – here's a screen recording of what I saw.

Hi Alyssa,
Please test it in landscape on nexus tablet or android mobile as well.
Will do, Manoj. Thanks for letting me know the additional devices that are affected. I'll add these details to our bug report.
Hi Alyssa,
Is there any update on it?
Hi Manoj,
We still have our eyes on this bug, and we'll let you know as soon as we have an update. Thanks for checking in!

Hi Becky!
You got it – you would need to use variables if you want the Next button to open several different layers.
Would you be able to use a custom next button on the layer itself instead? That way, you don't have to worry with creating variables.
Is there any update on this issue?
Alyssa, thanks for confirming. I used John P's example above and set it up with an incrementing variable.
