I am using a new laptop and when I publish my storyline courses and try to view them with Firefox I get an error message that simple says "A plug in is needed to display this content". It doesn't give me anymore information than that or let me click on anything".
Have you checked which Flash version is installed? If you're viewing in an LMS, it may also be that the LMS requires Javascript plugins. You could use a site like Supportdetails.com to see what is currently installed as a part of the browser. Also here are the system requirements and viewing requirements for Storyline 2.
Thanks for reaching out here - and this forum discussion is a bit older - so could you share a bit more about what you're experiencing? If you've got a video file within your Storyline course it should play within the course as a whole unless you've set it to open in a new browser window. You'll also want to make sure that you have enabled Flash as within this forum discussion the issue was that Flash was being disabled by Firefox and Storyline 2 (and 1) only support the Flash content in that browser.
