Posting to the web

Sep 25, 2012

I've just completed my first storyline project and published for the web. I gave the file to my I.T. department and they are saying they can't post it to our company intranet. My understanding was that you could post  to any web based format. Can someone please give me instructions that I can pass on to my I.T. team?

Good Afternoon Shelley, and welcome to Heroes!

Our tutorial on Publishing a Project for Web is here, but that won't be specific to your company Intranet.  Perhaps if you asked your IT Department why they can't publish your project to the company Intranet, their answer might give us more insight into how we can help you.

One possible reason might be if you provided them with zipped content, as they will likely need your raw, unzipped web output in order to publish your work.

If you are simply looking to test your content, you could try using Dropbox for testing purposes.  If you need longer-term web hosting of your content, however, you are going to need to develop a dialog with your IT folks to be sure you are providing them with content in a format that they can use.

Please let us know if you need anything else.  Thanks!
