Potential SL3 Error

Jun 28, 2018

Hello

I asked last week about issues we are having previewing in SL3.  I thought this was a flash/HTML 5 error.

Our IT team have been looking into the problem as now we cannot preview any courses we work on with SL3.  The courses we created last month are fine and all work with preview and on the LMS.  However the courses we have created in the last few weeks with SL3 will not preview or run on the LMS.

The IT team have been looking at browsers security settings etc.  One PC has been updated with the latest Articulate SL3 update.

I tried from home first the courses published last month and they run fine on the LMS.  I then tried the new SL3 courses and they do not run, I just see the wheel whirling.  I have tried this on my own PC and with Chrome, Edge, IE11, Safari.
My PC  is not in anyway connected to my work PC or settings.

Could you please let me know what the problem is and how it can be fixed.

Ken

Really sorry you're running into that, Ken! It sounds like you're completely stuck.

To get this sorted out as soon as possible, could you send us a couple of the Storyline files that you are having trouble with? We'll want the original, unpublished version so we can open them and take a look inside.

You can send those files to us by clicking here. Thanks!

SOLVED

I have since heard of other NHS organisations having the same problem.

I can report that the problem is caused by the Anti Virus being used and as in our case and the other organisation's it occurred after the Anti Virus was updated.

Our IT services entered the address used for previewing into the Anti Virus software and everything now works.
