Publishing to eFront LMS

Aug 15, 2013

Hi all,

I'm still relatively new to Storyline and eFront. I tried uploading a recently finished course into eFront, but kept getting errors.

I'm curious to see if it's a problem with the way I'm publishing the courses?

I published the course with the following details:

1. Select the LMS option from the list on the left.

2. Include HTML 5 outpu, but not using Articulate Mobile Player on iPad.

3. Player: Storyline Player

4. Quality: Custom optimization (I turned the video quality up to its maximum)

5. Tracking: Results slide 2.7

6: LMS: SCORM 1.2

Once the output folder has been produced by Storyline, I compress it by right-clicking and selecting that option. Then, I try to upload it to eFront, but I get an error every time.

Any troubleshooting help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Alex,

The steps you take look right. Maybe instead of manually compressing you should sekect the "zip" option in the window that pops up right after the publishing process finishes.

Other than that, there is nothing wrong with your process.

Therefore you probably have to check with eFront support for this.

Hi Akash and welcome to the community!

Have you tried testing your project outside of the LMS? If not, you could try using SCORM Cloud.

Another option would be to use our Tempshare server. Just keep in mind that this server is only available for testing content - it is not officially supported by Articulate and all content will be removed automatically after 10 days.

In addition, you could also use Dropbox. Just remember that you'll need to place your content in the "Public" folder. Also, you'll need to make sure that the folder is enabled. To do so, click on this link.

You're always welcome to try out Articulate Online, as well - it's available for a free 30 day trial.

If that doesn't help, try viewing the project in a different web browser.

Here are the download links for the most popular browsers, other than the ones you mentioned, just in case you don't have them:

If you still have trouble when viewing the content outside of the LMS, are you able to share the .STORY file and/or a link to the project that's been uploaded?

Thanks!

Hi Akash,

I'm having the same Problem with EFront and the Progress bar.

Articulate 13 + Scorm 1.2 building.

The progress bar remains 0% and jumps to 100% only when I finish the Quiz or finish the last topics in the lesson.

My big problem is, I have a Quiz that if for an example  you don't reach 75%,  you will be able to Retry the Quiz but every time I click Retry the progress bar Jumps to 100%.

The course looks like complete even if I didn't pass the quiz.

I opened a case with EFront and I will post here any news about it.

Sincerely,

Sintia.
