Interestingly enough, I'm able to get it to take if I select the same slide master twice. The first time I select it is as the screen capture. If I follow that with another selection of the master it fixes it to what it should have been in the first place.
Since we need to have a title for the page in addition to the question, like Module 1 Assessment for instance, I've had all kinds of voodoo happening. To do this I added placeholder text to the top of the page (that gaping hole above the question in the screenshot) in the question master slide. Then go back and apply the master to the page and it wrecks havoc on the layout, putting the distractors into a scroll pane with only half of the first one visible. The title and the question are sitting on top of one another. After multiple attempts I gave up. I just tried it again (add a placeholder to the master, apply the master to the content slide) and the placeholder didn't even show. What's more, when I went back to the question master, it was gone from there as well.
Thanks for reaching out here - I know we've seen some question slide master oddness in the past, but we'd want to take a look at your file to see what you've got set up and then how it behaves on our end. Can you share a copy of your .story file here? You can upload it using the "add attachment" button at the bottom of the reply window.
Here's an example of the second issue (adding an additional placeholder). I just started with a blank SL project and changed the question master. That's it.
Thanks for sharing your file here, and I saw some different behavior than you showed in your image above. What I saw instead was the answer choices being place in the box you had added for your master slide placeholder (above the question text). I was able to locate an email address for you based on your name listed here, but I'd like to have you work with our Support Engineers to test this a bit further since we saw different results. Can you reach out to them here and include that copy of your .story file? Once you do so, please feel free to let me know the case number so that I can follow along.

Any ideas on why this would be happening?
