Are you able to customise the quick access tool bar in Storyline like in powerpoint? I see that you can turn on/off the save, undo and redo options but wondering if you can do any more.
The answer is: Sort of. You can add some tools, but not others. Right-click a tool on one of the ribbons, and you might see an option to save the item to the Quick Access toolbar. Once items are added to the toolbar, you cannot rearrange them.
It's kind of disappointing that you can add some items, but not others. For example, when it comes to specific tasks like doing large scale colorimetric changes : the Shape fill item can be added but not the Eyedropper which is sub-item of the Shape fill's drop-down menu. Each of these items need to be accessed rapidly.
I understand Edouard. I'm not sure why some are limited, but you are certainly welcome to share your thoughts with our team here. Couldn't hurt to share that use-case.
Whether you are using SL3 or SL360, do your quick access toolbar settings always show up in new projects or does it have to be recreated every time you start a new project?
The quick access toolbar will stay the same throughout projects. Any changes you make to the quick access toolbar in one project will appear when you start a new project.
I'm happy to help! Whichever changes you've made to the quick access toolbar should show up in the next project. If you don't see this behavior, would you mind sharing which version of Storyline you are using?
Additionally, minimizing the ribbon is set for each individual session rather than every project. I apologize if that is frustrating! I'm happy to share your suggestion with my team.
Coming by 10 years later to say THANK YOU! I'm new to Storyline and this is going to be a big help in giving me more viewing space while still accessing key functions.

Thanks in advance!
I have the same problem, and it irritates me profoundly.
The other thing that I find vexatious is the way that the ribbon won't stay hidden.
I've not yet found a way to overcome these 2 vexations I would be grateful if anybody could come up with a fix
