Quiz Answer Audio Bug
Aug 23, 2013
I can't find this anywhere, but maybe it has been discussed. Sorry if it has.
I have a numeric quiz question and when the trainee answers the question incorrectly I have two audio prompts to help him/her do it correctly. Everything worked fine. I duplicated the slide for a different question and changed the question and then went to change the audio prompts. I DELETED the old audios and recorded new ones (all in one session in the question editor). They play back in the question editor exactly as I recorded them. BUT... when I preview the slide, the old audio plays.
Even when I publish the whole thing, the wrong audio still plays for that question.
And I found the work-around:
What I had to do was:
1. go into the question editor and DELETE the audios
2. I saved the question with NO AUDIO there
3. Went back into the question editor and added the audios again.
Now they play correctly in slide preview, but this is an annoying thing to have to do. Hopefully someone will pick up on this and fix it.

I haven't experienced this myself, but it seems if you are going to do this with multiple questions, then you can duplicate the slide prior to recording any audio. You can keep a copy of this slide with no audio for the purpose of duplicating and delete it when you are finished.
Yes, that would certainly be an improvement to the quiz generation process. Thank you!
It is a bug in the software that shouldn't be there. Inadequate review of a complete project by a developer could leave many a poor trainee listening to wrong information when they get a question wrong.
Is there a place I should report this other than posting about it here?
I think it is worth submitting a case for it. That way they can be sure their QA department is aware of it.
Hi Marco! I see where you submitted a case (#00352654 for my records) and that Cleo is working with you. Thanks.
