Re-ordering Slides

Every time a client asks me to re-order slides, the whole layout has to be readjusted. The story view gets small, and all over the place causing issues with trying to sort things out. Then when I publish the project, the slides aren't in the order that I have rearranged them too, and I have to manually change them in the player menu preferences, but can't scroll and look at my layout so every few slides i have to exit and go back to the project and try and keep things in order that way. It is extremely time consuming and I know there must be an easier way, does anyone have any advice? Surely I must be missing something.

If you are using "jump to next slide" triggers, moving them in slide view will likely change the order. If you are using "Jump to slide" by Name, the triggers need to be changed to change the order.
Either way, go to player -> Menu and choose Reset form menu, and the menu will be changed to match the triggers.
Above all, don't you think, and don't let your client think that the story view has any influence on the order; it is merely SL's attempt to make a storyboard. It is the triggers and Menu that determine slide sequence.
