Repeating questions from a question bank until a time limit is reached
Feb 26, 2016
Hello,
Is it possible to set a question bank of three questions that keep repeating until a time limit is reached?
I've created a game show style course to allow users to try out different strategies to win. The question bank is set to random draw and has three slides that look identical but each has a different 'win' option. To test the different strategies I want users to repeat the scenarios as many times as possible within 2 minutes.
However, the quiz just presents the three scenarios and then goes to the result slide. Three attempts isn't nearly enough to show how successful each different strategy is.
Is there a way to make the quiz bank loop back and repeat the three scenarios until the 2 minutes are up?
Thanks,
Anne.

Hi, Anne -- Sounds like an interesting scenario you've got in mind! Perhaps you could share your file if you already have one started so members of the community might be able to offer additional advice or suggestions? And this post may not be exactly what you have in mind, but maybe some of the ideas offered can get you moving in the right direction. :)
Hi Anne! There is not a built in way to do so. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist you with your design. I know that I saw this previous forum thread here and not sure if that will help you to set up what you are looking for her.
Hi Leslie,
I did see the thread you linked to, but if I understand it correctly, use a 'ghost' slide to create a loop doesn't work.
Anne.
Hi Christie,
I found that link while looking to see if anyone else had a similar issue, but it doesn't address what I'm trying to do.
I can't really share the file as it's very rough - I didn't want to invest too much time until I was sure Storyline could do what I wanted.
I have thought of simply duplication each of the three questions, but this will make the published course very large. If I can get it to work I'd like to add voice over for the game show host, music or drum roll, and live audience response (laughter, applause, etc). If anyone knows where this type of audio is available, please let me know.
Thanks,
Anne.

Hi Anne! Honestly, I'm not sure that it can work either and I've not seen a set up like this before. If you see someone in one of the threads that seems 'close' to what you are after, you are always welcome to reach out to them directly via the 'Contact Me' option on their user profile :)
