Require Learner to View All Tabs Within Engage Interaction in SL

Nov 27, 2012

I've imported an Engage interaction into Storyline and want to set it up so that the learner has to view all tabs within the Engage before they can continue. Am I overlooking where this option is? Or do we have to set it up manually within SL now?

Thanks in advance,

Christina

Hi Christina,

Engage Tabbed interactions are designed so that users can explore on their own. With Articulate Presenter, an Engage interaction as you know lives on a single slide. And you can control navigation from users advancing until they visited all tabs. That functionality is in the .intr file and not something Storyline can control once its imported.

Open your interaction (.intr) and set the navigation where users need to visit each tab before continuing. Although, since it's based on Presenter's navigation player, I'm not sure that would make a difference in Storyline.

The alternative is the flexibility of Storyline to custom-build the an exact replica of that interaction. Once build you can save it off as a template. Not to mention you would have complete control on how it behaves.
