Resizing text in Storyline quiz slide feedback box?

Jun 23, 2014

Hello,

A client of ours has a need to have a fair amount of text appear in the feedback dialog box that appears on quiz slides after the user has submitted their answer.

The problem is the text is scaled down so small in the published output that the feedback is unreadable.

1) Is there an option to resize this dialog box and text?

2) If not, can anyone make a suggestion as to how to provide this quiz text feedback?  The feedback is currently set "By Choice" so different feedback appears depending on the selected answer.

I suppose we could also shorten the text to a single line and then use audio to present the rest.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Kevin,

You can make the feedback prompt and text area as large as you'd like - you could even fill the entire slide, if you need to :)

You'll want to do this through the feedback layers in the Feedback Master:

Using Feedback Masters - E-Learning Heroes

Now, if you see the text normally when previewing and it doesn't look the same after publishing let us know. That may be a completely different issue.

Thanks!

Hi Matt and welcome to the community!

The trial version has only one limitation - the trial period of 30 days. You're using the full version, so that won't cause any differences in your project(s).

Make sure that you've applied the layout to that feedback layer in your project. If you don't apply the layer, you may still see the original layout for the feedback layers.

When you add layers to a slide, they'll be based upon the feedback master's blank layout by default.

You can change the layout for any slide layer. Here's how:

  1. Select the layer that you want to change in the Slide Layers panel.
  2. Then go to the Home tab, and click the Layout drop-down list.
  3. Select the layout you'd like to use.

To modify your feedback master or add new layouts, take a look at this tutorial.

If you've done this already, but you're not seeing the updates, please let us know how you're viewing the project when you're testing. Are you previewing, or publishing to test?

Thanks!
