I have a need to record information about the user before they begin their elearning course. The info my superiors would like to record is the user's name, email address, and organization name. I know how to add these fields very easily in SL but the back end stuff (flash, java, Etc) is a little more difficult. Assuming the user's will all have an internet connection does anyone have any advice on how to preserve this kind of information in an excel or MS word file? Thanks in advance !
Thanks for the quick response Minh-Triet ! After running that suggestion by the team it has been brought to my attention that all of our users might not have internet access rather they will have access to a server . Unfortunately this means survey monkey will not be a viable option for us, although it was a great idea.

Assuming that the course is not going to be hosted on an LMS, since the LMS would be tracking the user's info in that situation.
Another approach might be to create a web survey via a service like SurveyMonkey or SurveyGizmo. Then embed the survey in SL as a web object.
