Actually i'm not sure whether this is only my issue or others as well. Anyway my issue is if I create a new project and record a screen with pressing the "record screen" icon on the ribbon, it can NEVER be full size and there will be white strings up and down of my recording although I change the setting of the recording to full size before every recording. However, if I initially press the "Record screen" link in the start up the issue will be solved.
I believe this is happening because the recording is trying to adjust to the Story Size of the current project, whereas a new recording will adjust the slide(s) to fit the recording.
What Story Size are you using for the project? I'm concerned with the "white strings" you mentioned - are they running through the recorded screens, or is it more of a border?
If you could share some additional information, or a screenshot, I'd appreciate it :)
Thanks for the screenshots! Right, this is pretty standard behavior. As I mentioned earlier, if you record your screen first the story size adjusts. If you record and insert after creating a project, the slide size won't match the screen recording size right off the bat, so it's scaled down to fit into the slide.
What you may want to do is adjust the Story Size of your project to the same resolution before you record. You can do this by clicking on the "Design" tab and selecting the "Story Size" option.
Let me know if you have any trouble with this, or if setting the Story Size doesn't help.
If you'd like, you're welcome to contact our support team. Perhaps they can take a look and give you some additional information or suggestions that will get your recordings a little more "true to size".

Well unfortunately, still the white areas won't disappear in preview mode.
