I would like to use the screen-recorder step-by-step tool to help teach a new software. Unfortunately, when I use the tool, it consistently includes area outside of my specified window. Meaning I want to record a single window of the application. The recorder picks that up and also shows my laptop background, even though I have the application at full-screen.
This would not be an issue if I had the ability to crop out or resize the recording. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried adjusting the window size with the recording tool and I have tried running full screen recording.
You can edit the screen recording. From the timeline, highlight the screencast and then at the top, pick edit video. You can crop it, or trim the beginning or end.
