Seekbar doesn't move in synch with video
May 06, 2014
Hi, I have a question regarding the seekbar and video playback.
When a slide with video starts playing on the iPad, I first see a static placeholder in place of the video for a few seconds, but the seekbar keeps on moving ahead. After a few seconds when the video plays, the seekbar jumps back to the start and then runs in synch with the video. Then again, if I click anywhere on the seekbar while the video runs, the video wouldn't start from the time/place where I clicked. It starts playing from a time which is a few seconds early.
I have seen this issue with a number of training courses on the iPad. However, on the PC the video and the seekbar run perfectly. I am using the Update 4: 1311.817 to publish my courses, and testing them on the iPad 2 running iOS version: 6.0.1.
Has anyone else faced such an issue - is this normal? Is there a specific video codec that needs be used? Is there a way to fix this?

I can't test on 6.0.1 any more but this has nothing to do with codecs. The player seekbar and the video seekbar are independent. The player seekbar works in relation to the timeline of your slide. The video seekbar works in relation to the timeline of your video.
