I want to create hover effects that will vary depending on the learner's input into a field, in order to foreshadow the coming success or failure before they click and commit their value with an "OK" button.
There are really no options in the apply value trigger of the input fields. Mousing over a decoy hover state hotspot on the way to the OK button does not take the focus off the input field.
Is there a little hook out there for tackling this?
The numeric variable is the same as a numeric variable you create
You can change the state of a text entry box based on the entered value, but the variable is only updated when the entry field when the entry field loses focus. The value does not exist until the variable is updated, it is therefore not possible to change the state based on values being entered, only on the netered value after loss of focus

I just noticed that while creating my own variables with each input field, there also seem to be "NumericEntry" variables automatically created.
Do those function differently from homemade variables in any way?
