showing a layer as feedback on a quiz?

Is there any way to have a graphical progress bar that increments every time someone gets a correct answer on a quiz on multiple draws from a question bank? I see how I can add verbal or audio feedback for each correct answer and how I could jump to a new slide. But I don't see a way to be able to show a new layer on the question page as feedback in the middle of a quiz.  I'm not looking for a result slide at the end but a visual progress indicator along the way.  

Along those same lines, is there a way to adjust a variable as part of feedback on a quiz?  I want to keep track of various bits of information on correct/incorrect quiz answers, but I want to do things with that info besides showing a percentage at the end.Thanks!
