I hope someone is willing to take a look at an issue I have where the video and it's controls are on top of all other objects when the course is viewed on an iPad. The same issue doesn't occur on iPhone or Android phones.
When you click on the menu icon at the bottom right there should appear a menu overlapping the video controls, as I said this works fine on a phone, but doesn't work on an iPad.
Hi Rutwin! Thanks for sharing your link. I made a quick project and tested on an iPad. I found that the content was able to appear above the video. Can you check out this link and let me know what you see?
I published with update 5 for Storyline 3. I noticed yours is from update 4 -- go ahead and update, and let me know if you're still experiencing this glitch!
I have tried putting the video on a masterslide and the menu on the normal slides, tried to put the menu on a different layer, tried the video on a different layer and tried it in many other ways.... still this won't work on an ipad...
please can someone take a look at it and see how it works on a pc, on an iphone, on android....but NOT on an iPad - this must be a glitch
Did you also run into the same trouble testing Crystal's link? I tested it on an iPad 6th Generation and iPhone 6S both running iOS 11.4 and then on an Android Galaxy S9, and all of those showed the video working and I was able to click on the button that also appeared on the slide.
What iPad version and iOS are you using? Could you share a copy of your .story file here with us too? That way we can take a look at what you've set up as well.
Did you also run into the same trouble testing Crystal's link? - no, I didn't
But my question remains: can you please check and explain to me why the project I made works accordingly when running on Windows, Iphone and Android...but NOT on iPad.
I see that the simple object overlay that Crystal made works fine....but I can't make my project work and have tried everything to make it work. I hope you understand that it can't be a problem with the way I made it since it works on all other devices but not on iPad.

I took a look at the link you shared and I can replicate what you are reporting when in portrait mode, but not in landscape mode when viewing on the iPad.
Could you share the .story project file that you are working on so that we could take a closer look? If you cannot share here in the forums, you are welcome to share privately here.
Thank you so much for having taken the time to look at the issue and for making the screen recording.
After watching the recording I realized that reproducing the entire project did not solve the issue:
The first time I published the course I chose to set the Responsive Playback Settings to Portrait Only, this way the course would fill nearly the entire screen of whatever device the user would be using. (instead of being scaled down in such a way that text and buttons become too small to be practical/convenient)
When I updated/republished the course I forgot to change the responsive playback setting and left it on the default "Landscape or Portrait"
I didn't have an iPad laying around here so I called a friend and asked him to test it, and he confirmed that the issue was gone - I didn't realize until just now that this friend was holding his tablet in landscape mode while testing!
So again thank you so much for having made the screen recording that clearly shows that there is a glitch and common sense tells me that it couldn't be related to the way the project was made, since it works fine on any other device but an iPad - wouldn't you agree?
We can only conclude now that the issue doesn't manifest itself when viewing the course in Landscape while using an iPad....but Portrait mode is obviously a much better way of viewing the text and buttons of the course!
Hope there is someone in the technical department who can figure out why this is happening. Before I sent you the project file; I'm wondering if the same issue occurs when viewing the project that Crystal Horn made in Portrait mode
Although it's working on all other devices, it would still help if we could see your project file, to confirm all the settings and design options you included to match what we're seeing in Leslie's example.
As noted in Crystal's example, it worked normally for you and our team, so looking at your file will help us confirm those differences and report it to our team.
If you need to share privately, I understand that as well. Can you upload to our Support Engineers here?
Thanks for sharing the file. I published it with Storyline 360, build 3.19.16600.0, and uploaded it to Amazon S3 here. Everything worked on my iPhone 6S, iPad both with iOS 11.4.1 and on the Chrome browser for Mac and Windows. Can you test that one and let me know how it works for you?
I don't have an iPad myself so I can't test it. But my burning question is: Does the file work the way it should when published with Storyline 3? - if not then it must be a glitch and perhaps the engineers could solve this in a next update of Storyline 3?
Sorry, Rutwin! I had 360 on the brain yesterday. This also worked for me on Storyline 3 - using iPhone but I saw what you were describing on the iPad. I republished a copy here for you.
I'll share this with my team to investigate further, but luckily since it does work in Storyline 360, any updates that have already been applied there will also be released in the next Storyline 3 update.

I installed the update and re-published the project, but with the same results...
Can you please confirm and test this misbehavior on iPad while working correctly on iPhone or Android phones?

I just checked myself on an iPad and it works when I publish this single slide....
mmmhhh, I'm confused now and wonder why it would work on all other devices except on an iPad when I publish the entire project.
