I read the Articulate 360 manual section on Hotpots, but it does not mention how to set states for a hotspot. I have hotspots on a single slide that have triggers set to show a corresponding layer when clicked. I want to have the hotspot disabled on the Base layer when the user clicks the close icon on the layer so that the user can see that they already visited. Please advise how I can do this. Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Michael. That's what I ended up doing. Strange that I found an article that referenced hotspot states...perhaps the person was referring to their shapes as hotspots based on the clickable function they set up rather than actual hotspots.
You could create a text caption, set its initial state to Hidden and then add a trigger that changes the state of the caption to Normal when the hovers of the hotspots. Or, instead of a hostpot, you could use transparent object and add the call out to the object's Hover state.

Hotspots do not have states, use transparent objects instead.

How do I create a hotspot callout?
