Slide display problem

Jun 02, 2013

Not even sure how to describe the problem, I have a trigger that says jump to slide name  when user clicks the continue button.

the next slide however cannot display, the screen just flashes.

please see attched screens.

Has anyone encountered this problem and could anyone give me  a heads up as to what to check?

thank you

thank you for your reply. I will have to check with my developer as it his intelluctal property and would need his permission to send out out.

There is a jump to trigger from one scene to the next and when you activate this trigger once published, then the load of the next scene is the dark and light screen display flashing, and will not move on.  It does not happen on a preview only publish.

I have a new laptop updated with the latest version of SL.  My old laptop loaded with the previous version, does not work either, but only on publish not preview.

If I copy the 2 slides out and place them in their own scene, it works perfectly, on preview too, though I have not published this, let me try this and then i will be able to send you a smaller file that will not compromise the IP.

Good morning Susan,

Thanks for getting back to me!

Curious that this isn't happening in preview. How are you viewing the published course? Try to make sure you aren't viewing it locally, if possible.

If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If you are uploading it to a web server or LMS when you see this issue, it might help to test it on a different server. You could try uploading the course to Tempshare (any content uploaded here will be deleted in 10 days) or SCORM Cloud. If you're using AICC content please take a look at the article below for testing information:
