Slide triggers not acting properly (at least not how I want them to)

Good Morning,

I have a slide that has 5 buttons that represent different topics to learn. I have the button triggers working properly. When the button is clicked the trigger jumps to the slide with the instruction on it. All of that works fine. What will not work is the triggers from the target slide to the slide with the 5 buttons on it. I have triggers set on the target slides to "jump to" the slide with the buttons when the timeline ends. None of these triggers work. Then just advance to the next slide. I am a newbie and trying to self teach Storyline 360 so any help i can get would be appreciated.
