I had a client contact me today for source files for a course we developed 3 years ago. I've looked in my archives and don't see any *.story files for that course and also for many others though some are still there. Any ideas what's happening? And, yes, I do back up each night. Ideas???
I understand you're having trouble locating a course that was developed three years ago. One thing you can try is to check the temp folder for the file. Here's how:
Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
