States automatically reset when new state is added
Mar 01, 2019
Hello
Hoping someone can help me figure this one out.
I've created a few icons and would like them to trigger to open different layers. The new layers that open only take up half the slide, therefore, the original icons on the base layer would still be visible to the user.
Ideally, the icons would have 3 states:
1. Normal - red colour
2. Hover - gold colour
3. Selected - grey colour
4. Visited - grey colour
This is what I've tried:
Created a separate icon in each of those colours, saved on desktop. In "Edit States", I create a new state (ex. hover) and change the picture to the appropriate coloured icon (right click on icon - change picture). This works for the 2nd state. However, as soon as I create the 3rd and 4th state, all the icons revert back to the original Normal state colour in Editing. They also don't change colours in preview.
I've even tried simply changing the colour of the original icon in Format - Recolor, but that also doesn't function correctly in preview mode.
Any suggestions?

Hi Hadeel! You should be able to use the format tab when you're in Edit States mode to easily change the color of your objects. Here's a screencast of how I do it. Also, here's our user guide article on working with states!
