I'm creating an escape room where the learners would collect the keys to find the way out. On the slide, there are boxes to open and the key. Clicking on the box changes its state to open and this trigger works. However, the state of the key ("hidden to normal") does not change. This is strange because in another project the same trigger works fine. Hope it makes sense.

Without seeing the slide it's a bit of a guess. However, it looks like it could be a trigger order. From the screen it looks like the trigger is set to jump to slide and then change the state. But if you leave the slide the rest of the trigger doesn't fire.

See if changing the trigger order helps.
I agree with Tom the trigger order is definitely wrong, but posting the slide would make it easier to fix
