states no longer working

Jan 24, 2014

I had created a drag or drop slide.  The objects would change color to Green if correct; Red if incorrect.   This slide had been functioning for many versions.  My last update was in November.  I have corrected to my project the states (correct = green and incorrect = red) are all grey.  they no longer have color.

The fonts in this presentation defaulted to Articulate 10.   It's frustrating as it is extra work for me to fix.

Are there settings I can lock?

Hi Julie,

Afraid I'm not totally following - are you saying that the problem started after you installed the last update? I believe that's the case, but I just want to make sure.

I'm not aware of any changes that would have removed all your state colors and formatting.

Try to make sure if you're opening project files for modification, you're opening local project files:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

You mentioned you were able to apply the colors back to your shapes (I believe), but that the font was reset. If you're working locally, and the font changes aren't taking "hold", please try importing the slides from your original project into a new, blank project file.

Let me know if you're still unable to apply the fonts or colors to your shapes/drag items.

Thanks!
