I have created a step by step slides with a test mode, and I would like to change questions name.
In fact, in result slide, only the title "Hotspot" or "Text Entry" appears for each slide (see attachment). Is there a way to change these differents terms ?
I try to change name of hotspot and text entry directly on each slide but it does not work....
Those are the question types that you're seeing as the name, and the image you showed it something you'll see as an author but not something that your users will see.
Are you looking to change how they'd appear somewhere for your learners?
LMS I use (360 learning) allows to track results on each question, but as names are always the same (hotspot or text entry) is not really easy to know which question is about ...
So, it is only for help us to track these results. It would be great if there is a way to do it !
Hi Justine! Storyline identifies the question using the "question title" box, but your step-by-step slides might not be using the title box layout. Check out this guide to changing the layout being used by your slides. Whatever text you enter in the title box will be used to identify the question in your LMS.
Tip: If you don't want the text of the title box to show for your learners (since it's a screen recording), you can actually move the title box off the slide and out of view, and it will still be included in the course!
The problem is I already use the title box as the title of my chapter ... But even if I change it, it is always same names which appear in LMS, "hotspot", "text entry" (see differents attachments).
The problem could be that I customized my layout ? Maybe I have to add a basic layout so that title box can be identified as question title ?
It could be the custom layout - you'd want to look at using the Question Title option as a part of the layout to ensure it captures the question text vs. the question type. We'll still report the type as a part of the overall data that Storyline sends to an LMS.
Correct - question type is set based when you set up the question in Storyline. There isn't a way to remove or change that.
You can always edit the question text or title, and that will be reported to your LMS as well as the type. Here's more info on the data we send to an LMS.

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for your help. As I understand it, I can change the question title but not the question type ?
It's not a big deal, I'm going to identify the questions thanks to their order directly in LMS ! ;)
Have a good day !
