I don't believe so. But, you can extend animation within Storyline by adding Flash movies. It's also possible to fake some effects depending on how you layer your objects.
I agree. I wish there were more like they have in Presenter. It is hard to believe something as robust as SL would only offer FIVE animation options. I submitted a feature request, and hopefully they plan to add more.
I'd also like more animations, but in the meantime thought I'd attach this file which shows 2 ways that existing animations can be used to a bit creatively and a way to incorporate motion paths into SL
So, Presenter is able to use motion paths in PowerPoint. To get these to work in Storyline, save them in PowerPoint as a movie file and then import into SL.
In the attached
Slide 1 uses masking for a fly up
Slide 2 uses several objects placed at intervals along the timeline

Hi Jeff,
Those are currently the only animations supported, but as Julie mentioned there are a few workarounds depending on how you want to set it up.
In the meantime, if there are particular types of animations you'd like to see, you're welcome to submit a feature request.

Agreed!! How long ago did you make your request for more options?
Thanks Caroline for submitting a request ( and welcome to Heroes!).
Our team is looking at more powerful animation capabilities for a future release, but I don't have an update on what those are or when they may be released. Be sure to subscribe to the Articulate Word of Mouth Blog to receive notifications when new updates and features are released.
