There is an issue with 'fade in' and 'fade out' objects when clicking replay button.
In general - the issue appears when using 'fade out' animation. The objects that have 'fade out' effect stop working properly when clicking replay button OR clicking at any point of the progress bar.
You will want to make sure that your slide layer properties are set to Reset to Initial state. This should force the replay button to start the slide over.
Do you have a .story file you could share with us?
i was testing a file here on my end as well. I am able to re create the issue using any of the exit animations. I am going to report this to the QA team for review.
The only workaround I have found right now is to add an entrance animation to the initial text to Fade in at .10 duration.
Yes, adding an entrance fade it would fix the replay button issue. However, the initial text is not shown when clicking at progress bar app. 1 inch from the left.
Thanks for reporting this to the QA Team, I hope they will be able to fix it for the next update!
This Fade OUT issue has been a problem in SL1 as well, on the iPad specifically. My company's QA team has found this exact issue on the iPad running Articulate Mobile Player (AMP), where the asset does not appear upon revisiting the slide, and yes we do have the "Reset to Initial" setting applied on all slides.
A short term solution until Articulate addresses this is to completely remove the Fade Out effect on your asset. This may not be as ideal visually, however the asset will function properly upon revisit this way.
We also have noticed that this happens on Storyline-based text for the most part, and have not been able to replicate when we fade out a graphic.
Since my company is required to produce seamless and bug-free eLearning to our clients, we as Articulate Storyline developers now know (until Articulate fixes this), that we are just to NOT fade out any assets, which is purely unacceptable.
We also hope that this is addressed in both SL1 and SL2, but will wait patiently, and not fade out any assets in any Storyline course moving forward.
This issue has been addressed by our QA team, and I will post here when there is an update to share with a fix for this. You can use the workaround shared above of adding an entrance animation of .10 to the item.
I do see that this was reported for Storyline 1 as well. I cannot give any timeframes for this one, but if there are any updates, I will post here as well.
Articulate Storyline 2 Update 5 is now available for download. It includes WCAG 2.0 support, several new accessibility features, better HTML5 performance, and bug fixes. Click here for details:

Hello Andrey!

Hi Emily!
Yes, the base layer is set to reset to initial state upon revisit.
Attaching a source file.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing Andrey.

Hello Garrett!
This issue has been addressed by our QA team, and I will post here when there is an update to share with a fix for this. You can use the workaround shared above of adding an entrance animation of .10 to the item.
Hi Emily,
Thanks for the quick response.
Unfortunately we are still on SL1, and do not have the option to add any timed entrance animations.
Will this be addressed in SL1 as well?
