I have a course with attachments that get updated at the same time I am creating the course. I have found that I have to delete the attachment each time the file is updated and delete any old publishes I have to get the new attachment to show up. Otherwise, the old one still remains. Has anyone else every encountered this problem and, if so, how do you fix it so it just updates every time you publish? Thanks.
Thanks for reaching out here. What you're experiencing with your courses not updating after publishing may have to do with file caching. This occurs in web browsers and may also occur on a hosting server. Check out this article for more information and additional solutions. Let me know if you have questions! :)
Hey Rob! Thanks for chiming in. I'd like to test the steps you've shared with us, but I have a question before I start:
After changing something in the PDF file, it looks like you republished the Storyline file. Is that right? And did you replace the published Storyline file in the LMS?

Courtney,
I know this is an old thread, but other are experiencing the same thing. Ali, It has nothing to do w/ File caching. Its very easily to duplicate.
Create a story file. Add a resource - say a pdf file.
Publish.
Open the course, and view the pdf file.
Close the course.
Change something in the pdf file. Keep the name the same, just update the file.
Publish.
Open the course and view the pdf file. Its the same PDF file from the first publish.
The only way to get it to update is to delete the resource and re-add it.
