Storyline Audio Issue/Screen Delay
Nov 30, 2012
Hello All,
I have a Storyline course, that I created and published in HTML that resides on our external web server. We are testing the course for use on iPads. When we run the course we have experienced different issues on different iPads.
- Audio Issue - some users have no issues with hearing the audio and the course launches and audio is heard thoughout the entire course. There have been a few users that have audio only on the first slide and then nothing and for another there was no audio at all when it lauches.
- Screen Delay - For the screens that were recorded showing steps by step movement in an application - there is a delay in the background displaying. The mouse comes up and moves on the screen but there is white space until the image comes up.
Please let me know if there are any settings or changes that I need to change or where I might begin to troubleshoot some of these issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Chris,
Are you able to share the link to your published course, so I can take a look on my iPad? If you're not able to send the link publicly, you're welcome to send it to me in a private message.
Thanks!
Thanks for your prompt response Christine. Let me know where you want me to e-mail it to you. Thanks!
Hi Chris,
You can send it to me in a private message, by stopping by my profile page, here. There should be a link under my picture that says "Send Private Message". Alternatively, you can email the link to me. My email address is: chendrickson@articulate.com
Thanks again, Chris!
Hi Chris,
Thanks for sending me the information. I took a look at the course and I think I see what's going on. The course is launching in Safari on my iPad and not opening in the Articulate Mobile player. Are you publishing the course as HTML5? If so, HTML5 output doesn't support audio on slides that are set to advance automatically (like the slides in your presentation). I think that's why the audio plays at first, but doesn't continue playing if the slide isn't advanced by the user.
If you take a look at this chart, you'll be able to see more information on what's supported by output types.
Try publishing with the option for the Articulate Mobile Player. You can find more information in this tutorial.
Let me know how it turns out.
Thanks, Chris!
