Hi I am not sure what is going on but my storyline files are not saving correctly. I get the option of .story or .storytemplate. The .story wants to open as a pdf, the other is a template (as you know) that I have to keep importing. Please help I don't know what happened!
I was able to open both files correctly so its not the files. It has to be something with what your computer thinks the file is. Maybe try deleting any pdf reader and restarting your computer to see if it open correctly.
Thanks for contacting us to share what you are running into when opening your project files.
I was able to download the file and it opens as expected for me, so I don't think it's the file itself, but how your computer is accessing the file as Jack mentioned.
Are you able to open Storyline 360 and browse to open the file as expected?
I can access storyline but the file wants to open as a template or not at all and anytime I try ti "insert" an picture or illustration, I get a you are not connected to articulate error. I am signed in, just been a day! I deleted Adobe reader from my laptop and it seems to be working now. I'm not sure what was happening. It hasn't been a good computer day!! Thanks!
I'm glad to hear everything is working for you now! If you download Adobe Reader in the future and find yourself running into this issue again, feel free to connect with a support engineer, and they'll take a closer look at your setup!

Right Click on a storyline file and got to properties. Then change open with to Storyline 360, as it most likely says adobe acrobat.
Unfortunately thats not it, I already checked.
