We recently implemented SuccessFactors LMS and I am having difficulty getting our Storyline courses to play in LMS. They play fine outside of LMS, but when I try to launch in LMS, I get an error message "unable to acquire LMS API." Is anyone familiar with SuccessFactors LMS and what might be causing this error message?
Have you checked with the Success Factors Support to see if you need to publish in a particular way (SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, Tin Can API or AICC)? When you choose publish to LMS, you'll see those options at the bottom of the publish window:
I'm not sure that Christie is still subscribed to this thread, but you may want to try and private message her. Also, you could try publishing a course with the trial of Storyline and loading it up into your SuccessFactors LMS to see how it behaves.
Hi Vanessa - I did finally get it to work. It took some trial and error to figure out the problem. The main issue seemed to be that I was pointing the LMS to a zipped file, which didn't work. I had to unzip the file and then I was able to get it to play just fine.

Hi Christie, Curious if Ashley's response helped solved your issue. If not, did you get it to work eventually? How?
We're just about to purchase Storyline but want to ensure it will work with our LMS. Can you let us know? Thanks.
