Storyline Novice

Dec 31, 2015

I am brand new to Storyline and needing to insert Audio into PowerPoint slides that I inserted from an existing presentation.  I am ready to start recording on each slide.  Do I need to add a Play/Pause button to each slide that will have Audio?

Also, I'm looking at an existing Storyline module we have at our company as a guide.  Do I need to add the Prev/Next buttons and  slider bar  that shows the progress of the audio at the bottom of each slide ?

Assuming yes to both of the above, where is the best place for a quick lesson on doing so and can I add my audio to each slide first and then go back and add the functionality above?

Hi Patrick!

If you are adding audio to your slides, having a seekbar would be up to you.

Here's how you can insert audio into your project.

If you decide that you would like a seekbar, then you can control this via the player features and a tutorial can be found here.

Unless you have the slides set to auto-advance, then you would need Prev/Next buttons for navigation. Check out this tutorial on Slide Properties.

As you mentioned you new to using Storyline, in addition to the info Leslie provided, I also wanted to share some general info on Getting Started with Articulate 2. And this link will provide even more details on everything that you can do once you become a bit more familiar.
