Storyline running very slowly

Hi friends,
I've been attempting to run Articulate Storyline off a laptop for the past while and the software has been incredibly slow. Loading up a project takes close to a minute and even simple tasks such as switching between slides and resizing an image are just as unresponsive.
For the record, this is the laptop that I am using: http://www.dell.com/ca/business/p/latitude-e6540-laptop/pd
I don't think it's in issue with the specs as they are above the recommended values for Storyline.
Any help would be appreciated.

Good Afternoon, Mr. Saturn.
Always save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
If the problem persists, please take a look at this article for some additional troubleshooting ideas.

Thanks for your help. It turns out the problem was that I was running the Storyline product off a network drive and that was causing the massive slowdown and loading issues. Saving all the Storyline files to the C: drive did the trick and everything is running as normal!

I have the same problem of Mr Satrun. I try the cleaning...and all the things recommended by support team.
I just realized that my CPU is 1.9 Gz and not "Gz as I see that is the minimum requirement for SL2.
Do you think I can go back to SL1, that is very slow as well.
(the project I'm working on is 300 mb.

Your machine seems to exceed our system requirements, although you may want to consider updating your video drivers.
If the problem persists and you are already saving and publishing to your local hard drive (and have already tried the article recommended above), I would recommend sending us a copy of your .story project file for a closer look. Thanks!

Just a note, the 'latest version link' seems to be for Storyline 1 and not Storyline 2.
This is at Step 7 for Windows 8 - Right-click the Storyline installer, and select Run as administrator to reinstall it. (Download the latest version here.)
Hi Andri! That's correct as the documentation shared was for Storyline 1 as well.
