Has anyone seen this error message (screenshot attached)? I'm wondering if it's something in Storyline or just something coming from the local desktop.
If you have, any explanation as to what's causing it??
It could be just the fact that you are publishing to your desktop, which can be a weird environment to work within. The same can apply to working in "Documents" section.
I would suggest working directly on your C drive (create a new folder something like "my_workspace" and see if that does away with the odd issues like this.

Hi Marc! Sorry to hear that you ran into an error message.
Do you have more than one instance of Storyline open perhaps? Have you moved files around lately?
It does look like you are working off of your local C drive, which is what we recommend. Does 'Save As' work for you so that you do not lose any data?
