Syncing Video and Text Boxes
Aug 03, 2012
I've imported a video into Storyline with no problems. I need to add bullet points (i.e. text boxes) to highlight the main points of the video. I scrub through the video on the timeline, find the correct placement and add my textboxes accordingly...again, no problem. However, when I preview the video, the timing is off. Is anyone else experiencing a difference between previewing in the timeline and previewing in full screen preview mode? If so, what is the workaround. Right now, it's just trial and error which takes quite a long time...any ideas here would be most helpful!

Hi Jonathon, do you have the problem after you publish or is it just in the preview? The reason I ask is that storyline does some fancy encoding to videos during the publish process so I would venture to guess the preview and publish would be somewhat different.
I wonder if the problem has something to do with the video frame rate? Storyline is 30 frames per second. If your video has a higher or lower fps it might account for the difference.
Nancy...thanks for the information of frame rates..this may be my problem! Since I didn't shoot the video, I'll talk to the person who did to make sure it was shot at 30 fps and not something else. If I continue to have issues, I'll repost here.
