Test score altered in Review

Mar 17, 2021

A software simulation assessment, requires learners to click a series of hotspots corresponding to different clicks in a process being learnt.

The learner is given 3 attempts to correctly click each hotspot. If the learner fails to correctly click the hotspot, they don't receive any points and are moved on to the next activity.

A learner when reviewing their quiz, accidentally clicked on a random area of the page. The pop up came up telling them that that was incorrect and to try again. This changed their overall score. Any suggestions how this can be fixed so it doesn't happen?

Hi David!

I'm happy to help! I want to start with a few questions.

  • Are you able to recreate the issue on your end when reviewing the quiz and clicking the random spot?
  • Does this happen with all slides when reviewing or just one slide?
  • Are the slides set to Resume to the Saved State, Reset to Initial State, or Automatically Decide?

This should help us get started! It would be helpful to take a look at the file as well. Would you mind either attaching the .story file to this discussion or uploading it to us in a support case?
