I have found that I can't display a superscript in a text box that contains a variable. I was using [%slider2% OF]. On the slide the "O" is shown as a superscript as in Degrees Fahrenheit. But when previewed the O was shown as a normal O.

Text formatting for Variable — Reference is not working in SL.
You can use º symbol for Degree.

@Fred: as the issue is in resolving process, you can use extra text box for
the formatted text.
