I'm sorry that you see an error message when generating text to speech! I just tried this on my end, and I'm not able to recreate the behavior.
Can you check that you're saving the file to your local drive rather than a shared drive or external environment? If not, please save the project to your Documents folder and try to generate text-to-speech again.
If that still doesn't help, would you be comfortable uploading the project privately to us in a support case? We'll take a look and see what is causing the snag.
